Brian Cid To Release Debut Album On Balance Music

Words by Isabelle Winkler

Brooklyn’s Brian Cid is no stranger to producing genre-defying tracks, and is set to release his highly anticipated debut album, Meteorite Man, next month.

Cid is fast becoming a well-known name in the underground scene, with his ability to effortlessly mix between genres ranging across progressive house, deep house and techno, to name only a few. His reputable taste and track selection have secured him regular slots playing at distinguished New York clubs Output, Pacha and Marquee, shooting him into hot international demand as well. His production abilities are widely revered as well, with many of his original mixes previously released through labels such as Lost & Found, Knee Deep In Sound and Get Physical.

The album showcases Cid’s broad reaching skillset, with his musical talents rooted in over a decade’s worth of experience as a sound engineer. This comes as no surprise, after hearing the seamless mix of elements he weaves together amongst the diverse track listing of Meteorite Man. The tracks start as slow and brooding, later progressing to a more dance-floor friendly sound, before signing out similar to how they started. His careful curation of the album as a collective work of art builds a well thought-out flow between tracks, but allows them to be equally enjoyed on their own out of this context.

The enigmatic collection of synth-heavy tracks will be released through Balance Music on December 7th.
